Pokemon White Masuda Method?

Okay, I'm trying to hatch a shiny Axew, and i have a Japanese Axew and American Ditto, in the day care. Will it work that way? And if so, how many more eggs do you suppose i have to hatch before one of them is a shiny (i already hatched 51).
